Juicy, tender chicken thighs coated in a sticky-sweet honey garlic glaze—this dish is quick, easy, and packed with flavor!
Ingredients:
- 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (or boneless if preferred)
- Salt & black pepper (to taste)
- 2 tbsp olive oil (or butter)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
Prep the Chicken:
Pat chicken thighs dry with paper towels.
Season generously with salt and pepper on both sides.
Sear the Chicken:
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Place chicken thighs skin-side down and cook for 5-6 minutes until golden and crispy. Flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:
In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Stir in honey, soy sauce, vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
Glaze & Finish Cooking:
Return chicken to the skillet, coating it in the sauce.
Cook for another 5-7 minutes, flipping occasionally, until chicken is fully cooked (internal temp 165°F/75°C).
Garnish & Serve:
Sprinkle with fresh parsley.
Serve with steamed rice, roasted veggies, or mashed potatoes.
Tips:
✅ For extra crispiness, broil for 1-2 minutes after glazing.
✅ Boneless thighs? Reduce cooking time by 2-3 minutes.
✅ Sauce too thick? Add a splash of water or chicken broth.
